The West Monroe clinic, as it is today, was established in 1999. This company was born from Melanie’s dream to be the first and foremost progressive pediatric clinic in north Louisiana. Initially, one building housed adult and pediatric patients, but one whizzing scooter board too many flew past a little lady on a walker and we knew we needed to expand. The building next door was built, allowing a “campus” per se, of experience. The Melarosa (hippotherapy arena), also on the adjacent property, was opened in 2005 allowing a new and exciting treatment technique to kids in therapy. A side-yard has been added with a fence around it for safety. This area houses playground equipment, including a rope ladder, monkey bars, swings, slides, and a rock wall. There is also a full-sized enclosed trampoline for sensory fun.
